Aftercare
Cremation
Our cremation service will handle your pet with care. Up until cremation, each pet is individually secured and labeled within a dignity bag.
Pet owners will have the options of either private or communal cremation.
Communal cremation
During a communal cremation, your beloved companion is cremated together with a group of pets. Ashes are then collected and will be scattered at Ancaster pet cemetery. Each communal burial plot is identified with a Pets Above cemetery marker.
Important note - if this option is chosen, no cremated remains will be returned to you. You may want to memorialize your companion from our selection of keepsakes.
Private cremation
When private cremation is elected, the crematory is reserved exclusively for your pet.
The cremated remains will be carefully collected and secured in the urn of your choice. The urn along with any other keepsakes chosen will be delivered to your regular veterinary hospital or held for pick-up at the cremation location.
A signed certificate of cremation is included with this service.
Viewing and visitation
Our cremation service also extends private visitation to the crematorium service to allow families to say their last farewells. This is the only cremation service that offers this service after hours and on weekends.
