Larry’s Story

He was my first dog

In the summer of 2016, I made the heartbreaking decision to let my beloved first dog, Larry, go at home. I knew Larry never enjoyed going to the clinic therefore did not want his last moments experiencing distress. At the time, I just finished my second year of veterinary school.

I wanted him in my room, next to all the things that were ours, have our other dogs around, and just be home. I called a veterinary friend to come over to send him off. There was no stress- it was just us being home.

There’s not a day that passes where I don’t think about Larry and how much that day meant for us, me as a dog owner, at the time a student, and now veterinarian.

Now that I am capable of providing for animals, I hope to give pets the most peaceful and stress-free way across the rainbow bridge. I first handedly experienced how peaceful it was.

This service’s objective is optimizing pet welfare and preserving the animal human bond. Home is where we feel safest. They deserve to go peacefully, feeling safe, and surrounded by love.
